There is an ancient Chinese curse, “May you live in interesting times”. Many believe those “times” are here, now. We have an abundance of changes in the world, with strong earthquakes happening around the world. We have the approaching 2012, and depending on who we speak to about the Mayan calendar and the clock ticking down to December 21, 2012, we may already be there. Tick tick tick.. tock, one very reliable source says it’s here. October 28, 2011 is said to be the turning point, the true ending of the 26,000 year Mayan Tzolkin Calendar.
2012 – The End?
Tick tick tock and we’re still here. Life goes on as we know it, but many people who have worked diligently to be more aware of the subtle nature of the soul have felt the shifts happening on an inward level. When we look at the world around us we see an unraveling take place. There is an awakening, and for some it’s been an ongoing nightmare. So many of us, intuitive or not, are ready for a change.
2012, My Oh Mayan
The day is here, October 28th has come and passed. From an intuitive/spiritual perspective I see the days prior were at a hyper-speed. I felt as thought I was moving as fast as I could, never fast enough until that day came, October 28th, 2011, and there I was, firmly standing on my own two feet in the center of this new world.
Tick Tick Tick.. Tock
What is this change that has taken place? It is a change that both invites and insists on being in the center. What does this mean, being in the center? It is taking charge, being more conscious and taking responsibility for thoughts and actions. It is both the work involved and the satisfaction of seeing your works unfold into something useful.
The Meaning of Tock
Most of us have heard these words, tick-tock, the ticking of a clock. I wondered, what is the definition of “tock”. I was greatly surprised when I found it wasn’t a word. In this case let’s take creative liberty and define it for ourselves:
Tock
1. The sound made in response to “tick”.
2. The results derived from a decided action, as in “tick followed by tock”.
Imagine that we’ve been living day after day, learning, planning, and experiencing. Where does it all lead? We’ve been building toward something, not necessarily an ending, more like the deep breath that is then followed by as strong an exhale. The simple fact that the day arrives means that we’ve already been in preparation of it’s arrival. The question then is, “What are you seeking, and where have you been leading yourself toward”?
