The word spiritualism is an old term, used quite a bit in the 1800′s and early 1900′s. In fact, Houdini, the famed escape artist had quite an interest in paranormal activities, and sought for years to reach his dead mother through psychic mediums.
Spiritualism, is it a science? Quantum physics appears to be the first step in connecting consciousness to the physical science. Many movies have appeared in the past 10 years that delve deeply into the link between our thoughts and our wellness. One of the most recognized is What the Bleep, and this movie that was thought to be insignificant drew a large following, enough to encourage the creators of What the bleep to release What the Bleep!? – Down the Rabbit Hole that goes more deeply into the “rabbit hole”. We want to know. We want to recognize our inner strength and abilities.
Perhaps Spiritualism something that should be accounted for only through scripture? We have many examples in the bible of spiritual events. We could even go so far as to say that the majority of divine inspirations and messages were channeled by those great spiritual leaders we read of in the pages of the bible. If the bible is indeed the answer, why do so many still seek? Perhaps we are not meant to find the answer, but live to ask the questions.
Now we turn to the world of the metaphysical, one that has been questioned and labeled over the years through lack of understanding. The word “spiritual” has been used by many individuals and organizations that seek to bridge the gap between a purely physical world and the idea that we are within ourselves divine spirits.
This is where scripture, science and psychic come together. We cannot deny that there is something amazing about consciousness. What purpose does it serve, what reason lies within our many levels of consciousness? Do we have a divine inspiration, and a mission or divine purpose?
Great wars have been fought over the answers to these questions. Our quest, at Intuitive Meaning is to bridge that gap. It is time for us to lay down our swords of indifference and control and recognize that each step has been a step in the right direction. Spiritualism: Science, Scripture or Psychic? Perhaps there is no dividing line after all.
