Seeing the energy at birth, it is clearly a time of transition. Different cultures have their interpretations of the significance and meaning of birth, and observe their own rituals and practices.
The preparation of the birth of Tom Cruise and Kate Holmes’ child opened to the world a glimpse at the practices in scientology. The idea is that birthing be in silence so the child is not impressed with words and the conscious and unconscious meaning behind those words. With all due respect, in my view as an experienced energy reader for many years, I see things a little differently. Our words are just a bi-product or symbol of our thoughts, vessels for our reactive physical as well as our spiritual self. We could take the expression, “It’s the thought that counts”, and carry it to a more significant place, that our intent and the vibrational frequency of that intention that makes the greatest impression.
Births are truly an emotional experience for all involved. How much do we carry the emotional charge into the moment, and how much is already set by the “open doorway between the spirit and the physical world”? It is difficult for us to maintain full composure during a birthing event, but we can prepare ourselves to some extent. We can make a conscious, even a super-conscious choice to hold the birth of a child as a sacred time, that we are their to witness and assist, and greet the newborn in celebration.
Their are those who extend the importance of creating a safe space for the child throughout the entire pregnancy, and most certainly in the time following. Ideas have emerged that go beyond a healthy diet, ideas such as maintaining a positive outlook and speaking through love, not anger or negative expression. But isn’t that the most desired way to approach everything in life, to treat others with kindness and honor? We know for the most part that is not the way of the world, but love and respect are just as viral as hate and dispair. Each of us makes a choice on which we will express to others.
The birth of a child is its first impression of the world. That first breath and first touch should be welcoming beyond compare. We can be grateful that we are able to be on the edge of that divine experience when a spiritual being is finally given the gift of life independent. I believe this is a chance to be closer to God as well, both in a global sense as well as through that beautiful expression of divine consciousness within the child.
