This video explores dowsing and aims to debunk or discredit dowsing by setting up “scientific” tests based on criteria and conditions that must be consistently repeated, else the idea that dowsing works is written off as a hoax, or scam. Is it delusion, or could the inconsistent results be the fault of the inexperience of the dowsers? Is it a clean, scientific experiment if the person or persons conducting the experiment have no previous experience, assuming that they can simply pick up dowsing rods and expect consistent results despite their inexperience and possible error in use?
From part one of “The Enemies of Reason” Richard Dawkins investigates dowsing.

Regardless whether dowsing works or not there are some problems with this experiment, firstly the controls for the experiment(the bottles of sand or water) are above ground this is not normal for the dowsers themselves. Secondly they should not be placed in containers(those blue bins) as we do not no whether they will interfere in some way. Thirdly water should not be the only thing used in this experiment but another control like iron/steel. IMHO the experiment is weak on the science side.
Does the researchers know or care whats below the ground! How about the skeptical observer effecting the out come. Try singing if you someone in the audience desn’t like your voice. It effects me emotionally. Come on Richard D your becoming as closed shop as the people you set out to debunk.
the water they use is bottled water. bottled water is dead it has no energy. all the water underground is constantly moving. movement creates energy. i have never dowsed but this would justify this inconclusive study.. what do you guys think?>
