One of the questions I hear every now and then is “Does my Mayan birth date have anything to do with my life path?” The best answer I can give is “See it as a tool rather than destiny or fate”.
Mayan Birth Date
The Mayans believed that the day you were born was significant, and turned to their spiritual calendar, the Tzolkin calender, for insights into the life path of the individual. Individuals were named based upon their birth date. The talent they possessed in life was determined by their birth date as well, giving insight into the role they should serve.
Other systems that follow along with the same “birthdate to life path” connection include numerology and astrology.
Present Day Mayan Birth Date Interpretations
As an psychic, someone who sees and percieves those things that are metaphysical, beyond our senses, I look at the connection between birthdate and life path a little bit differently. I believe that we are here to explore our own world, the infrastructure that is our heart, soul, mind, and the many gifts and abilities we have, and use everything we’ve got to the fullest. Very few do that, using everything they’ve got. It’s not for lack of trying, its because they are not fully aware, fully conscious. My greatest love in life is helping them open those doors, through insights into their gifts and disclosure of the barriers they hold that distract them from their own empowering abilities.
Over several years time I developed a special reading session that uses the Mayan symbols known as glyphs. There are 20 glyphs, each with a significance and intuitive meaning. Those glyphs interact with 13 numbers, giving a great deal of information as to where that soul or spirit is in their overall journey. Why do I use the Mayan calendar? Because our present day minds are not already wrapped around the symbols, pre-determining their meaning and value. Our minds at times can be our worst enemy!
