wtf what am i doing wrong? i got 9 but the one bunch tell me 20 and other 14 so it be 2 + 5 = 7 but my card is 9! what am i doing wrong?
Hey if the first pack is 18 then it is 1+8 = 9 but you can’t take 9 from 7… and the ansvear is 7 when i solved it but i didn’t know… but when i had an 17 at start it was 8 and then it worked… please tell me the problem…

Easily understood if you understand casting out nines, but your set might include no cards with the correct total.
Adding the digits of any number and repeating till you get a 1 digit number ALWAYS gives the remainder when you divide the original number by nine!!!
Do this with the number 52 (number of cards in the deck) and you get 7. Hence the magic numbers of the trick 7 and 16 (both yield 7 when you cast out nines).
The total of your cast and their cast has to be 7 or 16.
