dowsing really does work,but what is the real science behind it? it isnt just someone moving the rods.
how does dowsing work? is anybody doing any good double-blind experiments to see if it works? has there been any scholarly articles published on dowsing in any peer reviewed journals?
Yes, yes and yes. This was a top secret military program and double blind tests with odds of 100,000 to 1 were executed with dowsers hitting their targets. Many scientific articles and studies have been done and are available.
The military program referred to was called “Project Stargate”. It was one of several late 70s research projects into the paranormal and is a pet example of promoters of the field, because former participants have gone private and now actively promote their skills. However, reliable, peer reviewed data has not been published. A good book on the project is Jon Ronson’s “The men who stare at goats” (don’t confuse with upcoming fictional movie of the same name), though its not very critical.
I made some rods once out of coat hangers. I had never played with this before. I had my daughter randomly lay 12 magazines around the living room floor and put a quarter under one. The floor was carpet. I was in another room and didn’t see where she put it. I walked around the room and repeatedly the rods crossed over the magazine with the coin under it. I did it over and over and never missed one. I do not believe any micro movements were involved.
yeah i did something like that. im pretty good at using a pendulum and today i used it to find a book that i had lost. and it worked. i found it in like 2 minutes.
As a musician myself, saying “dowsing works” or “doesn’t work” is like saying “guitar works” or “doesn’t work”. Certain people have skills and have developed skills. Dowsing, as with any instrument – tells you what’s inside, not what’s outside. With practice you can gain clearer reactions to what’s outside. For a dowser to think the rods react to the “outside” is a mistake. Geez, if your mouth can talk, why couldn’t your musicles and nervous system???
Our nervous system is used by our subconscious Adverser to control dowsing tools we hold in our hand.
