Have you ever wondered what happens at a psychic fair? In fact, what does that mean, psychic? This word is derived from the greek word psyche, and simply enough it means “of the soul”. A psychic fair, by definition, could mean a religious event, a metaphysical gathering, an energy healing event, or a self-improvement fair.
Some cities have many events that would fall into the category of a psychic fair. For example, in Seattle, WA we have many. One of the oldest long-standing is the Boeing Parapsychology Club’s fair, known as the Boeing Employee’s Psychic Fair.
This event, held twice each year, changed this year. The event is now hosted by Emerald Spiral, a spiritual co-op in West Seattle, Washington. The name is the only thing that has changed, this fair is at the same location, time, and cost.
Did I mention free admission? There are numerous booths offering products and services at very good prices. You can get a psychic reading, or healing session, get a tarot session, check out aromatherapy, shamanism, and a host of other great offerings. There are workshops all day, at no additional cost. Many come to this event for the entire day.
The Emerald Spiral Spring Expo is at Kent Commons: 525 4th Ave North, Kent Washington. The doors open at 9am, with booths and workshops continuing until 5pm. Come by car, there’s plenty of parking. The event is also within walking distance of the train station.
Attending a psychic fair is a great way to learn more about a program or teacher without an long-term commitment. I’ll be there, Mystic Mechanic. Stop by my booth, I’ll be promoting the upcoming Healing Drum Retreat and will be offering soul-recognition sessions to lighten your heart and awaken your soul.
Author Estee Taschereau is the Editor of IntuitiveMeaning.com, and offers sessions by phone. Her new book, Being Here Now, will be available at the fair.

Thanks for spending the time to describe the terminlogy to the newbies!
