On the other hand, a prophet is person bestowed with some powers from a divine entity. Prophets have been thriving with humanity since time immemorial, and have been delivering revelations from supernatural entities for the benefit of the whole humanity, through their prophecies.
Simply put, a psychic is to a psychic reading, and a prophet is to a prophecy. They’re both alike in these terms. However, people fail to see these similarities because of differences in faith. In reality, a psychic and a prophet, are also both gifted with mediumship, an ability of being able to relay messages from the world beyond us, to the people here on Earth. Another fact is, both individuals can give us a better understanding of things in general — about the past, present, and the future. A psychic does this through readings, while a prophet does this through prophecies.
As you can see, psychics and prophets do not seem to have any much difference at all. However, it is just how people view these two concepts, that gives the mindset that these two are different things. After all, who questions faith in religion anyway?
