The english language doesn’t have very many words to clearly describe spiritual or metaphysical ideas. What makes it so difficult is that we connect to the intuitive meaning through words – words that just don’t grasp what we are experiencing or feeling.
Many of the words we use today originated in different cultures. Some words come from an ancient language called Sanskrit. Words like Chakra, meaning wheel, a valid meaning since energetically a chakra turns much like a wheel. For those who do not understand the word chakra, they look like tornadoes on their side, spinning, and each chakra in the body relates to a certain range of frequencies and information. One example is the root chakra, which is a slower, denser energy, and it relates to basic physical survival experiences.
Other metaphysical words come from the French language, like clairvoyance, which is clear seeing or clear vision; clairaudience, which is clear hearing.
The word intuition originates from the latin word intuitiō which means “look at”. The word intuition is also associated with “gut level feeling” or empathic abilities. You might describe intuitive as inward perceptions. Here is what some have said about intuition:

The words intuitive and psychic do fit together, but they have their own specific meanings, with intuition or intuitive describing an action or ability, and psychic describing the source.
