All Of Us Are Precious In God’s Sight

As you live your life day-by-day, there will probably be some times that you think your life really doesn’t make a difference. You may think that no one around you is being impacted by you and the things you do, and that no one would really notice if you were gone.

We live in a world with billions of other people, and at times it seems that only a very small percentage truly impact the world. This is how Satan wants you to feel. The truth is that we all have our own strengths and ways that we can help others and the world. Each of us is unique and special in God’s eyes. Our Creator has given us the gift of love. He loved us so much that He gave His Son to die for us, each of us.

You may have read this quote from Walter Scott: “God gave true love as a gift to man alone.” God loves each one of us, we are all His creation. After creation, He stopped and declared that His work was good. We are His work, and that means that we are special to God and we are appreciated by Him.

In Psalm 8 David writes about this and He said, “O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, You who set Your glory above the heavens!” And it goes on then to say in verses 3-4, “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man, that You are mindful of him?”

David seems to be blown away that the God of all creation (planets, universe, all living things) cares about man. David understandable is very excited that God has such a special place for man and that we are a cherished part of His creation. As David mentions in the Psalm, God has placed man below the angels but has given us dominion over the other living creatures.

David looked around him at God’s creation and said, “Lord, I’m amazed that you care about me and that you have put me above the other parts of Your creation.”

In the 39th Psalm David writes that he has been fearfully and wonderfully made. Any time you are feeling down and like you don’t matter, remember that you are significant because you are a creation of the almighty God. He loves you and you matter to Him. We are all precious in His sight!
